Great American Cleanup 2021 - Riverlights
Join us on June 12th for our annual Great American Cleanup, a project of Keep New Hanover Beautiful's parent organization Keep America Beautiful! From 9-11am, multiple cleanup events will be happening throughout the county, coordinated by KNHB and Cape Fear River Watch and captained by team members from partner organizations and local businesses. The Riverlights crew will be cleaning up along the Cape Fear River and within the Riverlights community, based out of the Riverlights lakehouse. Specific location details to come.
Please register well in advance for this cleanup, otherwise we won't be able to ensure enough cleanup supplies for everyone! The free cleanup kit includes a trash picker, a safety vest, a pair of gloves, a couple of trash bags, and a scale to weigh garbage bags.
Feel welcome to join us afterwards for a celebratory beer at Wrightsville Beach Brewery to support our cleanup partner Cape Fear River Watch. During the month of June, 11% of WBB's profits from their beer of the month will be donated to CFRW.
